Strong finish to drilling campaign at Springdale

A total of four new graphite finds have been identified after an extensive exploration and infill drilling program at the Springdale Graphite Project, in Hopetoun, Western Australia.

The drill rigs pulled out of Hopetoun this month after completing more than 11,000 metres of reverse circulation and diamond drilling since June 2022. This brings total drilling on the company-owned tenements to more than 19,000 metres.

Three high grade graphite discoveries were identified at Springdale South, Central and Far West, very close to the existing mineral resource with assays pending on further explanation east of the existing mineral resource.

Two metallurgical tests from graphite samples taken at exploration target SDE_1, just 2km from the existing resource, produced outstanding results with flotation testwork confirming 97%+ concentrate grade with recoveries above 93% graphite.

Managing Director and CEO Andrew Worland said, “The results show that graphite mineralisation at Springdale is ideally suited to a shallow, open cut mine and a simple low cost flotation process producing high quality, low impurity concentrate suitable for battery anode material processing.

“Every phase of our drill program at Springdale has identified either new areas of high-grade mineralisation or confirmed the existing high-grade zones. We are very confident about the quality and potential of the Springdale resource and its capacity to sustain an efficient, long life operation.”
