Batteries, and the commodities to make them, are the key to energy security and protecting the planet from the impacts of climate change. International Graphite is developing a new, sustainable supply of process graphite to drive global decarbonisation and help meet the needs of emerging technologies, from defence, transport and steel making, to construction, medical devices and advanced electronics.
We are bringing Australian resource and engineering knowhow to the graphite supply chain to ensure our operations deliver real social and environmental benefit based on progressive and robust environmental, social and governance (ESG) processes, in secure, low risk jurisdictions.
We want to set the standard and we are aiming high by:
- Establishing a high performance and sustainable operation driven by exemplary standards of efficiency, safety and governance.
- Developing advanced manufacturing processes to minimise our environmental footprint and using new technologies that are environmentally responsive.
- Playing an active role in our local communities to bring jobs, training and opportunity.
- And by doing this, we are confident of creating long-term value for our shareholders and supporters.

Working with Government
Our business supports the Australian Government’s strategy to establish our nation as a critical minerals powerhouse and the Western Australian Government’s vision to develop a world class renewable energy and battery hub, around Collie. In 2021, the WA Government saw the potential and invested A$2M to help establish our first pilot micronising plant. To date, Australian Governments have contributed A$17.2M to support our vision for a mine to market graphite supply chain.

Working for the Environment
As engineering innovators, International Graphite is working to develop the next generation in advanced, lower impact graphite processing. We are collaborating with global industry leaders to find a better way to produce the graphite products essential for the sustainable energy revolution.
